Technology VS Mental Health - a fierce battle.

Technology and mental health are two topics that often gets combined. They're both important, though. Here we will be seeing the connection between technology and mental health and why it's so important for us to understand them better!

The introduction of new technologies can impact mental health in two different ways - positive and negative.

The positive way is that technology can make your life better by making it easier to contact with friends and family, be employed, complete tasks you need to do everyday. For instance, if you have a smartphone, you can use it as an alarm clock so you don't have to set an alarm on your actual clock each morning when you wake up.

The negative way is that technology can also negatively affect people's lives by allowing them access to harmful sites on the internet that they wouldn't otherwise be able to enter without this new tool (e.g., adult content).

Technology can be helpful for some people.

Technology can be helpful for some people. It's important to identify that technology isn't going away, and it would not change our lives, but it does offer some actual benefits that we should think about when making decisions about how to make the best use of it.

The internet helps us feel connected to people. It's easy to feel detached from others when you're spending maximum time online or using the phone as a device for entertainment rather than communicating with people in person or via phone call . But being able to communicate by texts or Facebook chat allows us all kinds of ways for fellowship: chatting with friends about what we've been doing now and then; catching up with trends; sharing news stories; helping each other out if something happens the list continues! You may not get much face-to-face interaction while using these online platforms, but there are always ways for this problem if needed: Skype calls are free! FaceTime works great over Wi-Fi connections too! So don't worry too much about missing out on face-to-face contact because our communication ways are there even when we're not together in person."

They can harm in many ways.

The negative effects of technology on mental health are many. It can be addictive and show ways to isolation, distraction and a poor substitute for human interaction.

We use our phones so much that we forget to breathe, eat or sleep in a proper manner. We stay up late at night scrolling through Instagram feeds looking for opinions from strangers who don’t even know us or care about us in the first instance!

The Challenges of Technology

The challenges of technology are not just a matter for those who have been caught up with mental health issues. Anyone who uses the internet (and most people do) is at risk of gaining symptoms of depression, anxiety, or other disorders.

In addition to being overly dependent on technology, many people don't understand the effects it can have on their mental health and so. They may feel like they're missing out on important parts of their lives because they're too busy checking Instagram or Facebook every day but this is not true! You're still living life as well as you could be if you were not constantly scrolling through social media feeds while also watching Netflix series when everyone else is asleep (yes: I'm guilty).

Conclusion

As technology advances and we continue to use it for more things, there will be less time available to spend with friends and family. This can take to a dark path of loneliness, depression, insomnia and anxiety. The key is knowing how technology can affect your mental health so that you can make healthy choices about what works best for you!
